A shade that signifies love, passion and blood had no problem standing out amongst pastel shades. Be it a trim, accessories or the whole ensemble, designers had blatantly demonstrated the passionate, feminine flair with this hue in their collection.
Shantanu and Nikhil combined their draping mastery and penchant for ladylike silhouettes with crimson, which doubled-down the statement-making. The designer-duo put an elegant spin on the Victorian shapes and impeccably blended the Indian drapes with bold sweetheart necklines. The head-to-toe crimson look made it all outstanding!
Hemant & Nandita showcased a collection which epitomises an indo-western style. They beautifully manifested the richness and opulence of Indian tradition balanced with contemporary styles. Lending a vivid contrast to their collection, they presented their trench coats, bomber and bolero jackets with a punch of crimson embellished with gold appliques. The whole ensemble was a well-balanced stylish splash.
Kiran Uttam Ghosh‘s collection was all about the brilliance of Indian couture. Trickling down the runways, we saw bold red styles featuring brocade, embellishments and streamlined silhouettes.
Bringing international appeal to the Indian runway, Gaurav Gupta didn’t shy away with the use of red in his collection. This one particular collection featured a halter-style neck with cut-outs at the waist a loosely draped skirt, which will easily make an appearance in the best-dressed list!
