Day 2 at Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2016 saw a luxurious dash of metallic accents on the runway which didn’t make it easy for us to not have a second glance! From intricately detailed gold-toned, silver-toned, copper etc. the runway was awashed with sheer elegance of metallic designs.
Rajesh Pratap Singh brought the house down when he sent down looks that were all about neat finishes and minimal silhouettes. An A-line dress all in gold was very space-inspired outfit while another shift dress with floral foil prints in gold and metallic blue added an intentional dose of chic.
Rimzin Dadu showcased the first of its kind 3D saree along with a lineup of metallic blacks and grey which took our breath away. Featuring simple silhouettes with textured metallic details and trims, she really took the glory home with this one!
Other designers who incorporated metallic theme and turned it into a lucid dream were Dhruv Kapoor and Malini Ramani. Although fur was the major standout in Dhruv’s collection, he didn’t shy away from combining it with a sliver-toned shift dress. The resulting outfit was a chic smash! Malini Ramani’s collection was an epitome of pure elegance. She extensively used accessories such as gold-toned headgear, cuff bracelets to accentuate the feminine, goddess-like appeal. Gold-toned floral appliques cascading in gowns and sarees were giving us all the life!
Add some shimmer to your wardrobe inspired by these look and turn the party on!
