It’s okay Senorita, bade bade desho mein, chhoti chhoti baatein…hoti rehti hai.
Who doesn’t remember this iconic dialogue from the cult classic Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge? But what we remember more, is the magical chemistry between Shahrukh Khan and Kajol! Bringing back India’s favourite jodi after 5 long years, Dilwale is all set to hit the screens this Friday. Before we get into that, let’s talk about a recent release that has the possibility of being a bigger release than Dilwale!
The Bombay High Court has acquitted Salman Khan of all charges in the 2002 hit and run case.
This ‘release’ created some ripples in the country, and even more so on social media. Here are some of the most hilarious tweets that made our day:
It's disgraceful that despite being rich & influential, it took Bhai 13 years to get acquitted. #SalmanVerdict

Ouch! That was a serious burn! Talking about burns, let’s get back to the hot chemistry between Shahrukh and Kajol. As an ode to their awesome on-screen romance, here are some of their best looks till date!
All of us remember the hot sequence from the title song of this movie. With Kajol in a sexy blue dress and SRK playing ‘the captain’ in a white striped T-shirt, they had us longing for more! The song went on to show Khan playing another captain in a navy blazer while Kajol continued her task of looking hot in a tie-front shirt and a skirt.
Was it Raj’s charm or Simran’s innocence that made us fall in love with this movie? May be both? But their characters would have been incomplete without the memorable costumes. Right from the plaid shirt worn by Raj over a crew neck tee with denims in Europe (not forgetting the famous hat that made it to the title graphics of the film!) to the traditional kurta pyjama with a stylish waistcoat back in India, it left a lasting impression. The same goes for Kajol who wore a long dresses with boots initially and then moved on to racy crop tops and elegant gowns! The beautiful lehengas she wore in the second half of the film set a trend on its own, resulting in many brides wearing the same style and colours for their weddings!
Manish Malhotra set a trend for comfort clothing with Kajol’s casual outfits in this movie. Right from track suits to tees and jackets, the sporty look carried off by her is still fresh in our minds. SRK had a similar ensemble with tracks pants and denims paired with T-shirts and varsity jackets. In the second part of the film, Shahrukh had upgraded his wardrobe to suits and Kajol to some really beautiful sarees. And who can forget that dance sequence in the rain (hawt!)?
Set in the US, this film had Kajol mostly in western attires ranging from dresses to coats and sweatshirts to scarves. But more than Kajol, we remember Shahrukh Khan (in an amazing performance) in the V-neck sweaters and blazers he wore over his shirts.
That was the last time they created magic on screen. And from what we saw in the trailers of Dilwale, this jodi is all set to do it once again!
